Why This Website Displays No Ads

You may wonder—or perhaps you may not—why this blog displays no ads. Nothing encouraging you to go to other sites, nothing in this margins, nothing at the bottom of the page. You will not be nudged toward fantasy sports, discount shopping, weight loss remedies, or ways to make extra money by working at home. I do not have an “Around the Web” section. The only pop-up is something encouraging you to subscribe to my email list.

Now, I’m not saying this to congratulate myself, or to tell you how lucky you are. I’m telling you this because I want you, dear reader, to buy my books.

I have one way of making money off this blog, and it is this: people buy my books.

As of the writing of this blog post, I have two books available: Wildcat, a short story available exclusively as an e-book through Kindle, and The Moonborn: or, Moby-Dick on the Moon, a novel available as both an e-book and a paperback.

This is a simple blog post. This is a straightforward blog post. If you enjoy this website and would like to show your appreciation, then consider buying The Moonborn or Wildcat. Out of respect for my readers, I choose not to have ads that would distract you or confuse you, instead opting for something that, in my opinion, benefits both of us.

Here’s the cover for The Moonborn:
